THE CLEANING PROCESS
ALKALINE-BASED CLEANING AGENTS
Our alkaline-based detergents are effective in removing organic soils encountered in brewing, however it won't remove calcium oxalate and other inorganic compounds that lead to a build-up of beerstone.
ACID-BASED CLEANING AGENTS
Acid-based detergents are commonly used in a two-step sequential cleaning regiment with alkaline detergents. They are primarily used for the prevention or removal of beerstone, water scale, and aluminum oxide.
THE SANITATION PROCESS
Using a sanitizer after cleaning surfaces will ensure that unwanted micro-organisms are reduced to acceptable levels in brewing.
We suggest using an ATP measuring device to detect contamination. A simple swipe on the surface and processing in the ATP meter will verify the level of acceptable sanitation.
